In recent days, the rows of small-leaved banyan trees, lush and full of life at the intersection of National Highway 5 leading to National Highway 1 towards Bac Ninh – Bac Giang, have created a unique landscape that attracts the attention of the capital’s residents.
Mr. Truong Vi, a photography journalist who loves Hanoi, was one of the first to capture images of this road and share them on social media. The photos of the verdant road and the straight rows of trees have led many to praise it as “beautiful like Europe.”
“I have wandered around the city for the past two weeks to capture images of the roads lined with small-leaved banyan trees. The section at the intersection of National Highway 5 and the riverside road along To Lich River, near Buoi Street – Hoang Quoc Viet, are the two locations that impressed me the most. The banyan trees here are planted in straight rows, their canopies spreading out roundly, reaching towards the blue sky, very beautiful,” Mr. Truong Vi shared.
Rows of trees with small leaves, their canopies divided into layers like hands spread out to welcome the breeze, creating a picturesque beauty.
According to Mr. Vi, although it is a busy intersection, the green trees make this area cool and pleasant, quite different from the stuffiness in the inner city.
Currently, Mr. Vi’s photos are widely shared on social media, receiving hundreds of thousands of likes.
“The beautiful photos have caught the attention of many, making them curious to come and admire and take pictures. However, I think that for traffic areas, visitors should limit large gatherings and absolutely pay attention to ensuring traffic safety for themselves and others. It is absolutely not advisable to stand or sit in the middle of the road… just to get a unique photo,” Mr. Vi shared.
At this time, small-leaved banyan trees are greening many inner-city roads in Hanoi such as: Nguyen Khanh Toan, Nguyen Phong Sac, Tran Thai Tong…
