NASA promises to provide an “unprecedented view” of bizarre objects floating high in the Earth’s atmosphere.

According to Space, NASA is set to launch a special tool called PolSIR, a radiometric device designed to study strange objects forming high in the atmosphere, above the clouds we can see.
These are frozen clouds shaped like flying saucers or gigantic flat cakes, which contain a wealth of important information about our own lives.
A pair of PolSIR devices will be attached to two satellites and launched into low Earth orbit, where they will have a clear view of the objects floating just above the tropical and subtropical skies.
The way these clouds form and change reflects shifts in the global climate, but their hiding place above the usual clouds presents a challenge. Therefore, something is needed to approach them from above.
“Studying frozen clouds is crucial for improving climate forecasting. This is the first time we can study these frozen clouds in such detail,” said the Deputy Administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate.
The two satellites carrying the PolSIR devices will be in the form of cubesat satellites. This duo will orbit with a separation of 3-9 hours, allowing for continuous data collection from these strange “flying saucer clouds.”
PolSIR is part of a larger mission series called Earth Venture aimed at exploring Earth and improving predictions of future changes on the planet.
