At 11 Years Old, Laurent Simons Graduates from University, Aiming to Bring Humanity to the Threshold of Immortality.
Immortality, eternal life, everlasting existence, and agelessness are terms that refer to the concept of life persisting forever through biotechnological interventions in the bodies of animals, plants, and humans.
This is also considered the highest realm that humanity has yet to achieve and remains a scientific topic that attracts many researchers, striving to help humankind conquer aging and death.
Recently, a young prodigy from Belgium expressed his desire to use his knowledge to explore the possibility of achieving immortality by transforming humans into cyborgs—a form of life that is part human and part machine.
“My goal is to replace as many biological parts of the human body with machine parts as possible,” said Laurent Simons, the 11-year-old.

Unlike his peers who are still engrossed in playing with toys, Laurent Simons has a clear goal and is starting with a focus on quantum physics. The academic level and determination of this 11-year-old have astonished many.
It is known that Simons recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Antwerp, achieving an impressive score of 85 out of 100. Remarkably, he completed the program in just one year, compared to the usual three-year duration.
This year, Simons has already begun studying some chapters in the master’s program. He plans to start the main curriculum for his master’s degree by the end of the year.
“There are two important aspects in such research: acquiring knowledge and applying that knowledge,” Simons stated in a television interview. “To achieve the second goal, I want to work with the best professors in the world, look inside their brains, and understand how they think.”
