Nuclear Fusion Reactor. |
On March 23, the Hefei Institute of Physical Science under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) announced the successful testing of an initial phase nuclear fusion reactor in 2006, aimed at harnessing a clean and limitless energy source.
This nuclear fusion reactor has been successfully tested with superconducting equipment.
At the same time, the Chinese Academy of Sciences will be the first research institute in the world to have built a complete, independent superconducting nuclear fusion reactor system, known as an artificial sun.

Scientists have reported that they are using deuterium found in seawater as fuel for the reactor. This reactor can withstand temperatures up to 100 million degrees Celsius!
When undergoing nuclear fusion, the deuterium contained in 1 kilogram of seawater can produce energy equivalent to 300 liters of gasoline.
This will ensure the production of clean energy in an infinite and continuous manner.
