Microsoft has officially released Beta 2 of Office 2007 for public testing. The previous Beta 1 version of Office 2007 was tested exclusively by a select group of professionals and required a “Product Key,” just like the official products.
President Bill Gates announced the release of Beta 2 of Office 2007 and provided the download link during the WinHEC conference, which is dedicated to hardware developers associated with Microsoft, held on Tuesday, May 23 in Seattle.
Users can click here to download the Office 2007 Beta 2 trial, which comes in various testing packages. The simplest trial package has a download size of approximately 75 MB, while the “full” trial package has a size of up to 1 GB. Microsoft is also selling a “full” trial DVD for those interested at a price of $4.95, plus a $2 shipping fee across the United States.
Microsoft has stated that the Office 2007 Beta 2 version will expire on February 1, 2007, but for those who are “nostalgic,” this Beta 2 version can still be used… “forever” with its most basic features.
