The 11th Youth IT Competition of Hanoi officially opened on the morning of July 12, 2006. This year’s competition will take place over three days with the participation of 189 contestants and 37 innovative software projects.
The entire Youth IT Competition in Hanoi will be held at the Training Center for Cadres (32E – Kim Ma – Ba Dinh) from July 12 to July 15, 2006.
The competition consists of two main categories: the general competition and the Innovative Software section. This event is an opportunity for students from elementary to secondary and high school levels in the city to showcase their learning and application of information technology (IT).
Mr. Pham Huy Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the 189 participants in this competition are representative contestants selected from district and local rounds and the IT Clubs of Hanoi’s Youth Palace.
“The number of 37 innovative software projects participating in the competition may still be modest, but they are of quite good quality, featuring a variety of rich and relatable themes such as: Green Environment, The Astronomical World, My Beloved Hanoi, Folk Websites, File Encoding and Decoding Software, Traffic Safety, and Online Learning..,” Mr. Giang added.
