On June 20, Oracle’s President, Charles Phillips, officially introduced plans to assist customers and partners in better controlling, securing, and managing a vast amount of unlinked content.
With the Oracle® Content Database and Oracle Records Database, which evolved from Oracle Content Services and Oracle Records Management, companies can effectively manage comprehensive information related to both structured data and unlinked content, thereby enhancing user productivity.
The Oracle Content Database and Oracle Records Database are built on the award-winning Oracle Database 10g. This enables customers and partners to leverage their existing infrastructure and resources to efficiently manage enterprise-wide content, including office documents, PDF files, images, and graphics. Both databases offer a comprehensive solution for managing diverse content and data information within a single database.
As both products are developed using open standards, they support customers, system integrators, and independent software vendors to harness the power of Internet services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) products to deliver content management functions tailored to users across the organization.
The Oracle Content Database and Oracle Records Database are the go-to choices for the Oracle Database 10g enterprise edition. Both products are expected to be introduced to the market within the next 60 days, with pricing to be announced before or on the launch date.
