Japan’s Seven-Eleven Company is set to launch a new product called O2 Supli (image) in stores across the Tokyo area at the end of this month and nationwide in June. Minoru Matsumoto, the company’s spokesperson, stated:
“People who are under a lot of stress and cannot exercise much tend to lack sufficient oxygen. This is especially true for those who work long hours at desks in front of computers. They don’t breathe deeply enough.”
The oxygen will be sold for 600 yen (approximately $5.40) per 3.2-liter canister, which contains 95% pure oxygen, with each canister equipped with a small plastic mask attached to the top.
Each canister provides enough oxygen for 35 doses, and the gas is flavored with either grape or mint for a pleasant experience. Matsumoto added: “The mint flavor is really beneficial for you in the morning when you feel tired, or while driving, especially when you need to concentrate. The grape flavor can be quite refreshing before exercising or when you are working late.”
