Yesterday (January 5), the Palm Treo 700w was officially launched worldwide. This genuine all-in-one smartphone supports broadband connectivity and operates on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.
Additionally, the Palm Treo 700w features Wireless Sync, Active Sync 4.1, integrated Bluetooth technology, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, a 1.3MP camera, and notably, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, allowing users to connect wirelessly to Exchange Server 2003.
The Treo 700w operates on a CDMA network (1xRTT – 1xEVDO) with two primary bands of 800/1900MHz. It is powered by an Intel PXA272 312 MHz processor, has a touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels, supports 16-bit color, and boasts 60MB of internal memory with 128MB of flash memory. The QWERTY keyboard is notably more visually appealing than that of its “big brother,” the Treo 650.
The device has a relatively large size of 11.3 x 5.9 x 2.3 cm and weighs 178 grams. It supports SD, SDIO, and MMC card slots. The estimated price is $620.
