Discovery of a Cobra in the Yard: A Pitbull Courageously Attacks and Kills the Intruder. However, it also lost its life shortly after.
This incident occurred at a private residence in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand.
Upon spotting the snake, the Pitbull charged to attack.
Surveillance footage shows a cobra slithering over a fence into the yard. At that moment, a 3-year-old Pitbull was resting in its outdoor kennel.
As soon as it spotted the snake, the Pitbull charged forward to confront and prevent the intruder from entering the home. Despite being bitten multiple times, the dog refused to back down. Another dog, a Siberian Husky, also came to assist but did not act as aggressively.
Ultimately, the cobra succumbed to its multiple wounds. Notably, the Pitbull also died shortly afterward due to the venom from the cobra.
Cobras are a common name for many species of venomous snakes, most of which belong to the family Elapidae. They are found in Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. Generally, they have excellent olfactory senses and night vision. In addition to their ability to expand their necks, cobras typically have round pupils and smooth scales. Their scales exhibit a variety of colors, including red, yellow, black, striped, or spotted, depending on the species.
On the other hand, Pitbulls are regarded as fierce, aggressive, resilient, and tenacious dogs, often likened to cold-blooded killers by dog enthusiasts.
This breed possesses a unique jaw structure, functioning like a locking mechanism, making it difficult to release once they have bitten something or someone. The wounds inflicted by a Pitbull bite can be deep and wide due to their long, sharp teeth, potentially leading to permanent injuries or even life-threatening situations.
