A young leopard attempts to hunt a large prey and tries three times to lift it into a tree to store it, but fails each time.
The leopard slowly moves the gazelle up the tree.
The moment the leopard struggles to stash its prey was captured by Vincent Adami, a nature enthusiast, at Kruger National Park, South Africa. He spent hours in the bushes filming the scene.
Vincent Adami witnessed the young leopard lying beside its recently hunted prey, appearing exhausted from the chase.
After a brief rest, the leopard stood up and began to drag the impala towards the nearest tree. The impala was significantly larger than the leopard itself. Despite the size difference, the leopard persisted in trying to hoist it up the tree. However, the prey fell down immediately afterward.
The leopard remained determined and attempted again after each fall. On the third attempt, the leopard exerted all its effort, but still could not succeed. This time, the prey did not fall to the ground but got stuck on a protruding root at the base of the tree. The leopard had no choice but to enjoy its meal on the spot.
