Egyptian archaeologists have recently discovered two ancient sarcophagi dating back 2,500 years, located near the Giza pyramids.
These sarcophagi date from the late 26th Dynasty. The larger one measures 2 meters in length, 70 cm in width, and 60 cm in depth. It is adorned with red, green, and blue paint. Hieroglyphics carved on it depict the god Osiris and the sun god Ra, along with the name of the sarcophagus’ owner, Neb Ra Khatow, accompanied by images of amulets offered to the deities.
The second sarcophagus has a more human-like shape and is in good condition. Researchers noted that a remarkable feature is that the mummy inside is surrounded by a wreath.
