An Australian man quickly captured footage of a crocodile dragging a cow from land into a river to feast on it in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
“We were out fishing when we noticed the crocodile pulling a cow into the river. We used a drone to follow as the crocodile swam away with its lunch,” Justin, the owner of the video, shared.
The crocodile, approximately 6 meters long, clamps down on its prey before dragging it through the water. (Image captured from the video).
“It was truly an amazing display by this massive creature,” Justin commented.
Saltwater crocodiles are among the species with the strongest bite force in the world, thanks to their incredibly powerful jaws.
A study shows that the bite force of a saltwater crocodile can reach up to 3,700 PSI, only slightly less than that of a great white shark.
To achieve this lethal bite force, the crocodile needs to reach a size of about 7 meters in length and weigh 2 tons.
