Three days after the strong 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia, a boy named Azka was rescued from the rubble.
On the evening of November 23, Newsflare reported that Wahyudin (29 years old), Azka’s uncle, guided the National Search and Rescue Agency (SAR) to the location where his nephew was believed to be before the earthquake struck in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. He mentioned that Azka was in his bedroom.
Initially, rescuers attempted to break through the walls and found a lot of plywood but no signs of life. After digging, the rescue team discovered the child and pulled him from the debris.
A video posted online captured the emotional moment when the uncle and nephew were finally reunited. Wahyudin gently stroked Azka’s head as the boy was given sweet water to drink.
Azka was pulled from the rubble.
Azka was taken to Cianjur Hospital for medical treatment. The child did not speak much upon arrival at the hospital. However, Azka enjoyed some delicious cookies and said, “I want it.”

The 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia on November 21 resulted in nearly 270 fatalities, most of whom were children.
The earthquake also caused over 1,000 injuries, left 151 people missing, and displaced nearly 14,000 individuals. More than 2,300 homes in West Java were severely damaged or completely collapsed.
