After rescuing an injured owl, this man has been “rewarded” for many years.
In 2011, while taking a stroll on his farm in South Africa, the man stumbled upon an owl with a wing injury. He immediately took it home and built a temporary nest for it. Every day, he cared for and fed the owl, hoping it would recover quickly.
As time passed, the bond between the man and the owl grew incredibly strong. During its stay, the owl also befriended the household cats and became a member of the family.
After more than two months of diligent care, the owl’s wing finally healed. Although it seemed to enjoy human company, the owner decided to return it to the wild.
However, not long after, the owner discovered that the owl had returned. It would stay on the farm during the day and leave at night. Yet, it didn’t come back empty-handed; each time, it brought a rather “grand” gift!

Each time it returned to its old home, the owl brought a mouse, and sometimes even a snake. It would share its catch with the household cats. Interestingly, the animals it brought were not only for the cats but also served as “gifts” for its owner. The owl would wait on the owner’s bed, holding a mouse in its beak.

Over the years, the owl consistently brought unique gifts to its owner. Although he understood that the owl wanted to express gratitude for saving its life, there were times when the owner sighed, hoping that one day the gifts would change, as not everyone could appreciate the current offerings.

Owls are often regarded as symbols of intelligence, wisdom, and keen insight. In many countries around the world, these birds also carry positive meanings.
