Natural rubber pavement tiles, speed bumps, and sports flooring are three products introduced by Thailand at the “Vietnam – Thailand Science and Technology Days” exhibition, held from June 26 to 28 in Hanoi.
The exhibition is located at the National Center for Science and Technology Information, 24 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi.

Thailand is one of the largest producers of natural rubber in the world. However, domestic consumption of natural rubber accounts for only 10% of total production. Therefore, the country is encouraging the use of natural materials, including rubber, in manufacturing.

Three of the products made from natural rubber introduced at the exhibition are pavement tiles, speed bumps, and sports flooring. All three utilize raw materials from natural rubber and recycled rubber. Producing these products from natural rubber allows Thailand to take advantage of its abundant domestic resources instead of relying on imported synthetic rubber.
Vietnam also ranks as one of the countries with significant natural rubber resources, being the fourth largest exporter of this product in the world. Therefore, Thailand’s use of natural rubber as a production material could serve as a lesson for Vietnam to consider.
