Samsung SDI has announced the development of a new technology that allows for three-dimensional (3D) image display on mobile phones and other devices.

Samsung SDI also stated that it is the first company to develop a type of screen known as “Organic Light-Emitting Diode Matrix – AMOLED“.
The new product features a faster 3D image display rate compared to existing liquid crystal display (LCD) screens. The new 4.3-inch AMOLED screen has been specially designed by Samsung SDI for mobile phones, boasting the highest resolution in the world for 3D images.
Furthermore, Samsung SDI mentioned that it is also developing similar 3D technology for laptops and televisions. “Within the next 10 years, most flat screens will be equipped with 3D technology,” commented Chung Ho-Kyoon, Vice President of Samsung SDI.
