Samsung Electronics has just launched the Q35 laptop, which features an Intel dual-core processor and is considered the smallest in the world.
This new move by Samsung demonstrates the company’s intention to expand its product range, adding a new category alongside its traditional fields such as mobile phones and digital cameras.
The Samsung Q35 is equipped with a 12.1-inch display that supports a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800. The total weight, including the battery, is just 1.9 kg.
The main technical specifications of the Samsung Q35 include: an Intel T2700 Core Duo dual-core processor, Intel 945GM chipset, 80GB hard drive, and 512MB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. The Q35 runs on the Windows XP operating system and is sold with a DVD writer.
In terms of connectivity, the Q35 features Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, and 10/100Mbps Ethernet. Additionally, the Q35 is equipped with a high-quality audio system utilizing SRS 3D technology, a 6-in-1 card reader, an expansion PC Card slot, FireWire, and two USB 2.0 ports. The battery life is approximately 7 hours.
Samsung has not yet disclosed the price of the product.
