On October 17th in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the opening ceremony of the Space Week took place as part of the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition, offering viewers a journey through planets and outer space with musical performances, light displays, and interactive experiences.

Highlighting the event is the Al Wasl Dome, the world’s largest 360-degree display screen, showcasing clips that simulate journeys through stars and planets, featuring a 15-minute immersive 3D experience designed to inspire the audience to delve deeper into the cosmos beyond Earth.
Not far away, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Italian Conservatory performed film scores by composers Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota, illustrating satellite images captured from space.
Throughout the week, performances will also include Chilean pop artist Flangr, the musical titled “The Sun! The Star!” at the Sun Stage, and detailed images of the Milky Way and stars captured by the Unistellar telescope…
Space Week is one of ten themed weeks that will occur over the six months of EXPO Dubai, aimed at addressing some of the largest global challenges today, such as climate change and biodiversity, rural and urban development, health and wellness, knowledge and learning, tourism, and connectivity…
