A highly toxic spider species has recently emerged in several Asian countries. These spiders inhabit homes and closely resemble common spiders but have a more transparent body.
This spider species is named *Ultrasius*, similar to the African spider found in North and Central African desert regions. However, what has biologists concerned is how a small number of these spiders have appeared in the Americas and now in Asia.
Toxic Ultrasius Spider
This species is classified as extremely toxic, ranking just below the black widow in terms of toxicity. While its venom isn’t lethal, it can cause severe skin erosion, with rapid deterioration, and has the ability to oxidize metals.
Patients affected by the venom of this spider experience itching and will suffer from skin erosion until they receive antivenom derived from the venom of this species.
