Video Captures Tsunami Clouds Sweeping into Caxias do Sul, Brazil Amid Severe Weather
Sky News has released a video showcasing the dramatic moment when tsunami clouds rolled into the city of Caxias do Sul (Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil) during the early hours of September 23.
The clouds appeared circular and layered, moving closely to the high-rise buildings.
At the time the clouds enveloped the city, temperatures were notably low in the region.
According to Brazilian news outlet G1, winds from the ocean and low pressure from Paraguay were responsible for the severe weather affecting the entire Rio Grande do Sul area over the past weekend.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) indicates that tsunami clouds are a phenomenon signaling deteriorating weather conditions. They are often accompanied by gusty winds and stormy rain.
