West Lake: A Famous Scenic Spot in Hanoi The sunset at this expansive lake always evokes a sense of wonder for those fortunate enough to witness it.
In 1909, French banker Albert Kahn (1860-1940) initiated the project “The Archives of the Planet” to document images from various locations worldwide using the color glass plate photography system—the first color photography method in the world.
Albert Kahn dispatched his photographers to over 50 countries and captured a total of 72,000 photographs. The photographer assigned to execute this project in Indochina was Léon Busy (1874-1951).
