An Indian motorcycle rider was shocked to discover a 1.5-meter (5 ft) cobra emerging from the engine of his bike in the middle of the night on Friday (September 2).
The cobra wrapped tightly around the motorcycle.
The man discovered the snake while his motorcycle was parked at the Jamtara railway station in Jharkhand state.
Initially, locals tried to drive the snake away by banging on the bike with sticks and splashing water, but when these methods proved ineffective, they called in a snake-catching expert.
The snake catcher took about 2 hours to remove the cobra from the motorcycle. It was later released into the forest.
