On the evening of June 21, the “Strawberry Supermoon” appeared in Greece, gradually “rising from the sea” and slowly illuminating the ancient temple of Poseidon situated on a cliff overlooking the sea at Cape Sounion in the southernmost part of the Attica Peninsula.

“Strawberry Supermoon” is one of the fascinating and noteworthy astronomical phenomena. It is called “Strawberry Supermoon” because it coincides with the harvest season when strawberries are ripe and appears larger and brighter than a regular full moon.
The Temple of Poseidon was constructed around the 5th century BC and is dedicated to the god of the sea, surrounded on three sides by the sea. It is a famous landmark for tourists and moon watchers.
Today, only a few columns of the Temple of Poseidon remain.
Illuminated by the “Strawberry Supermoon,” the ancient temple has become mysteriously enchanting.
