Avian influenza has claimed the lives of two individuals in Thailand on November 1 and has left at least 38 others under observation for suspected infection on November 2.
The first victim was a 53-year-old man from Nan Province in the north, who died after burying 30 of his deceased chickens by hand. The second victim was a 31-year-old man from Nonthaburi who worked as a street sweeper, potentially exposing him to dead poultry.
