A centuries-old tunnel located in the Canadian territory near Niagara Falls is set to open to the public in early July.
This will be a brand new viewpoint for visitors to Niagara Falls.
The tunnel stretches from the Niagara Parks Power Station, the first major hydroelectric power plant at Niagara Falls, to a unique observation point that offers spectacular views of the waterfall. For nearly a century, the Niagara Power Company of Canada has constructed the tunnel for hydroelectric generation purposes.
Visitors will take an elevator down approximately 55 meters to the old power station area before walking through the tunnel to the observation point to experience the “roar” of Niagara Falls.
