A Golden Retriever named Cooper escaped from his new home and traveled over 64 kilometers in more than 27 days to return to his old owner.
The dog, Cooper, jumped out of the car right after arriving at his new home in Tyrone County, Northern Ireland, according to Metro.

After that, he disappeared for nearly a month and is believed to have traveled approximately 64 kilometers to Tobermore, Londonderry County, to reunite with his former owner.
The missing pet charity Lost Paws NI reported that they received a notification on April 22 that the dog was seen in several fields and lingering around residential areas.
Five days later, another caller reported seeing Cooper running towards his old home.
Lost Paws NI stated that the dog walked through remote forests and along main roads, primarily moving at night without any human assistance.
“Cooper is a smart dog. His instincts led him back to familiar territory,” a spokesperson for Lost Paws NI said. “I will never know how he managed to do it… No food, no shelter, no help, just unwavering determination and an incredible nose.”
Cooper crossed major roads, forests, fields, and country paths for over 27 days to return home from an area he had never set foot in before.
New owner Nigel Fleming mentioned that Cooper “is now safe” and “is eating multiple small meals to regain strength, slowly putting on weight again.”
