According to Labor and Union Magazine, the hot mineral water of Quang Hanh possesses distinctive features that make it stand out. The mineral water here is extremely valuable, rich in minerals such as Na+ ions, Cl-, metasilic acid, boric acid, and bromine at high concentrations. This mineral water not only benefits beauty but also supports health, reduces stress, promotes mental comfort, treats skin issues, and aids in the recovery of joint functions.
Furthermore, according to the Mineral Resource Assessment Council, Vietnam’s Department of Geology and Minerals (now the General Department of Geology and Minerals), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment: Quang Hanh mineral water is classified as mineral water with temperatures between 40-42 degrees Celsius, mineralization levels of 19,164-23,140 mg/l, and bromine content ranging from 40.42-45.31 mg/l.

According to Tuoi Tre Newspaper, autumn is the time when the body absorbs the value of mineral sources most effectively. As the weather changes, blood vessels constrict, leading to poorer blood circulation, which increases many ailments, particularly those related to joints. At this time, bathing in hot mineral water helps raise body temperature, dilate blood vessels, improve blood circulation, and alleviate swelling and inflammation in the joints.
A study published in 2021 in the journal Inquiry involving nearly 1,300 people with joint or muscle pain, including rheumatoid arthritis, found that 83% reported that bathing in hot spring water helped reduce their joint pain symptoms.
Especially, cardiovascular diseases can have heightened effects in cold weather, increasing blood pressure and putting significant pressure on the heart, leading to heart attacks. Soaking in hot mineral water combined with steam helps the minerals penetrate the bloodstream, stabilizing blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
When it gets cold, many people also experience dermatological issues such as dry skin, cracking, and itching due to reduced humidity. Choosing to soak in hot mineral water helps enhance skin moisture and nutrients. Not only does it support the treatment of skin conditions, but hot mineral baths also help relax both physically and mentally, promote blood circulation, and aid in the quick recovery of nerve functions, leading to faster and deeper sleep after stressful study or work periods.

A study from Loughborough University (UK) indicated that an increase in body temperature after soaking in warm water leads to the release of anti-inflammatory signals, helping to enhance glucose metabolism in overweight individuals.
For a long time, the Quang Hanh hot spring has been a familiar bathing spot for the people of Quang Ninh. In fact, many visitors traveling from other regions to Quang Ninh take the opportunity to relax and soak here.
