On May 6th, King Charles III officially ascended to the throne after 70 years of serving as the Prince of Wales since 1953, when Queen Elizabeth II was crowned.
It is reported that the coronation ceremony of the new king took place in the presence of over 2,000 royal figures along with guests and dignitaries from countries around the world.
Additionally, millions of fans were eager to witness one of the biggest historical events in British royal history.

According to The Guardian, this coronation ceremony featured many differences from tradition, combining ancient rituals with modern elements, as some of the ceremonies were simplified. This was also the first coronation ceremony to include leaders of various religions and figures that “reflect the diversity of the United Kingdom.”

After the official coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey concluded, senior members of the royal family immediately returned to Buckingham Palace and appeared on the palace balcony for the new king to meet his subjects.

Following the coronation, celebrations continued on May 7th with a series of street parties across the country and a grand concert featuring famous singers at Windsor Castle. On May 8th, the British Royal Family encouraged the public to engage in volunteer activities to honor the king’s contributions to the community.
