Some people believe that wellness practices are only for the elderly, which is a misconception. Wellness is like a spiritual nourishment of life, regardless of age or gender. If we actively engage in these practices, we can protect our health and potentially slow down the aging process of our bodies.
According to Dr. Pham Huy Hung, head of the wellness department at the Traditional Medicine Faculty of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, practicing wellness exercises correctly promotes a relaxed and comfortable spirit, enhances blood circulation, and nourishes cells.
Exercises focusing on joints can help combat stiffness and degeneration, restoring the flexibility and resilience of joints, especially in the spine, knees, hands, and fingers. Additionally, relaxation exercises serve as an active rest, aiding in the rapid recovery from mental and physical fatigue.
After a stressful workday, dedicating just 10-15 minutes to basic wellness movements and relaxation exercises can improve the circulatory system, sharpen mental clarity, boost the body’s resistance, and enhance work efficiency.
