In recent days, numerous customers of the Grand Hotel (8 Dong Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City) and Saigontourist have unexpectedly received advertisements bearing the name of Mr. Duong Hong Viet, the director of the Grand Hotel, announcing the sale of his three underage daughters.
In addition to the names, birthdates, and other details of the individuals being advertised, the notice also included Mr. Viet’s home phone number and cell phone number.
According to Mr. Viet, the individual behind this disturbing act is H.N.B. (born in 1976, from Dong Nai), a former computer staff member of the hotel. H.N.B. was previously disciplined and dismissed from employment in July 2004. Since then, this individual has continuously harassed and threatened Mr. Viet’s family in various ways. Recently, through the internet, H.N.B. circulated a “sad news” announcement claiming that Mr. Viet had passed away, detailing the date and time of the funeral and burial.
