While collecting scrap materials, residents in Quang Ngai discovered a strange object resembling a maritime buoy with the words China Buoy drifting ashore, prompting them to report it to the authorities.

On the morning of November 28, the Phu Quang Border Guard Station (Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard) reported that they had temporarily seized and assigned forces to monitor the mysterious object resembling a maritime buoy of unclear origin, which had drifted ashore in Pho An Commune (Duc Pho Town, Quang Ngai Province).
According to reports, around 10 PM on November 26, Mr. To Van Duong (a resident of Pho An Commune, Duc Pho Town) discovered the strange cylindrical object while walking along the beach to collect scrap materials.
Immediately, Mr. Duong informed the Phu Quang Border Guard Station. Authorities quickly approached the scene. The mysterious object is painted yellow on the body and has a metal pole at the top, with the base painted dark brown. It has a diameter of about 4 meters and a total height of approximately 5 meters. Surrounding the object are many Chinese characters and the words China Buoy.
Currently, the Phu Quang Border Guard Station has deployed forces to stand guard at the discovery site and secured the mysterious object with ropes.
According to initial assessments by the authorities, the drifting object resembles a Lidar buoy, which has the capability to continuously monitor and measure various meteorological and oceanographic parameters offshore, such as wind conditions, waves, currents, and other environmental factors.
