Even relatively minor differences in a woman’s facial features can significantly impact people’s perceptions of her attractiveness.
For a long time, the concept of beauty has been a relative standard, as everyone has their own opinions. However, when we ask: Who is more beautiful than whom? Who has the most beautiful face? Is everything just relative?

From the researchers’ perspective, a face is considered “beautiful” due to various factors, and the jawline plays a crucial role in forming this concept.
Generally, a larger jaw angle makes the face appear softer and more feminine. In contrast, a smaller angle gives the face a more masculine appearance, often referred to as a square jaw.
A study by Dr. Robbert Cleymaet from Ghent University in Belgium concluded that the perfect jaw angle for women is 142 degrees when viewed from the front and 125.5 degrees when viewed from the side.
To reach this conclusion, the study conducted an online survey, asking participants to evaluate various aspects of the jawlines of 53 female models and celebrities.
Among those evaluated, Stella Maxwell, a model and former girlfriend of pop star Miley Cyrus, and actress Kristen Stewart were highly rated for the straightness of their jawlines. However, Gigi Hadid emerged as the winner with a jaw angle of 141.9 – close to the “perfect angle” of 142 degrees.
“It is surprising that relatively minor differences in women’s jaw angles can significantly impact people’s perceptions of their attractiveness,” Dr. Robbert Cleymaet stated.
The importance of facial aesthetics can play a role in life that exceeds what we typically understand.
According to the research, it may affect health and quality of life, as it is linked to numerous opportunities, career success, and helps individuals feel more confident.
