Not only do those studying “spirituality” assert that after death, human “life” continues – the soul, but traditional Eastern medicine also acknowledges that the soul is the vital energy within each person.
>>> The “Aura” of the living body is actually the “soul”
>>> Collecting Scientific Evidence About the Soul
However, the soul does not exist forever as we might think; it consists of bioelectric particles, which means it can be shattered or transformed from one entity form to another…
The Soul Neither Benefits nor Harms Anyone
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huong, former president of the Vietnam Eastern Medicine Association, stated that since ancient times, Eastern medicine has recognized that humans consist of two parts: the soul and the body. Eastern medicine is based on the theory of yin and yang and the balance of vital energy and blood. A person lives thanks to the balance of yin and yang and sufficient vital energy.
Vital energy is invisible, while blood is tangible. Vital energy originates from nature, from food and drink – the “vital breath” – entering the body and transforming into nourishing energy. The human body consists of nourishing energy and protective energy; nourishing energy travels through blood vessels to nourish the body, while protective energy exists outside the blood vessels to protect the body. When a person dies, Eastern medicine says “the tangible perishes, the intangible endures,” meaning that visible entities – bones, flesh, blood… disappear, while the intangible – vital energy, exists eternally in space.

Moreover, Eastern medicine considers the mind to be the main spirit (life); when the spirit departs, death occurs. The spirit exists thanks to vital energy and blood, so when a person breathes their last, it means the mind has departed, and the spirit and vital energy escape, subsequently combining and referred to as the soul. Specifically, according to the theory of yin and yang, each individual has a unique level of yin and yang, a distinct intellect, character, appearance, and cunning… Therefore, the vital energy and spirit of that person are also completely different and exist within space. They possess their own world and do not benefit or harm anyone, except in rare cases.
The Soul is Not “Void”
Contrary to the belief of many that the soul is the aura emitted by each person, Dr. Vu Duc Huynh, author of numerous books on spirituality and Eastern antiquity, asserts that the aura is not the soul but a life circle that everyone possesses, with its width or narrowness dependent on the energy accumulated by each individual.
The aura is a biological field carrying a negative electric charge, resulting from the attraction and binding force of the spirit. The spirit carries both positive and negative charges. Within the spirit, there exists consciousness with a positive charge, and within that consciousness is the essence. The soul consists of: spirit + consciousness + essence.
“According to the theory of reincarnation in Eastern medicine, when the Vital Energy and Spirit escape – upon death, for a great person, 600 – 700 years later, they will gather and reincarnate into another person; for an ordinary person with education and morality, it takes 300 years; for those less knowledgeable with little intellect, it’s 80 years; for those with criminal deeds, resembling animals… it takes 30 years. Reincarnation can lead to becoming either a human or an animal, especially for those deemed ‘evil.’ Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huong (former president of the Vietnam Eastern Medicine Association).
After death, 49 days later, the soul transforms into a spirit with a structured hierarchy: the upper consciousness possesses positive attributes; the middle spirit carries both positive and negative attributes; and the essence at the lower level, being the densest, carries negative attributes. The consciousness component is light and fluid but serves as the primary component of the spirit. These three components are loosely interconnected. The loosest connection is between the essence and the spirit. The essence can easily detach under favorable conditions, meaning that at that time, the spirit can split into two: one comprising the spirit and consciousness, and the other containing only the essence.
The Soul Can Also Be Disrupted
According to Dr. Vu Duc Huynh, the soul cannot exist forever as it comprises bioelectric particles. Depending on the level of biological energy of each spirit, different spirits resonate at different biological wavelengths, becoming distinct entities. These wavelengths are countless and their speeds range from low to high and supersonic. Because of this, these super spirits no longer perceive time and space. Super spirits exist everywhere, in every space, irrespective of time. Simply put, they are present at all times and in all places.
However, as Dr. Vu Duc Huynh analyzes, the remarkable aspect is that biological waves move multidirectionally, spreading in all directions but can also propagate in a directed manner as dictated by the consciousness. They do not discriminate areas like electromagnetic waves. Moreover, biological waves are particle waves, meaning the flow of bioelectric particles in infinity. Cosmic particles in infinity can obstruct each other and collide… Consequently, the energy of the waves diminishes and is shattered, losing the ability to “fully carry” information to a specific receiver. This also implies that the spirit can be disrupted and connected with a new spirit to transform from one entity form to another.
Many “Mediums” Place Animal Bones in Excavated Areas of Martyrs
According to Major General, Dr. Nguyen Chu Phac (Head of the Parapsychology Department at the Human Potential Research Center), over the past 20 years, the department, along with individuals with special abilities, has discovered over 30,000 graves, while also locating missing persons and identifying the identities of those in unmarked graves. The department has tested over 300 individuals claiming to have special abilities and found that most are either deluded or have some degree of intuition. However, some individuals have ulterior motives and deceive (in three cases, they placed animal bones in martyr excavation sites, and many cases fabricated identities on unmarked graves). Only a small number are genuinely gifted with true integrity.
The soul is typically a supernatural entity such as a ghost, fairy, or angel. In belief systems and philosophy, the essence of humanity is self-awareness characteristic of a particular being. According to these thoughts, the soul merges the internal essence of each being, serving as the true foundation of intellect. Many cultures, religions, and spiritual beliefs hold that the soul is the unity of consciousness about the characteristics of an individual. |
