Comparing the height of 115.6 meters of the tree with the Statue of Liberty at only 93.1 meters and Big Ben in London at just 96 meters, which is still much shorter than the tree.
The process of climbing and measuring the height of the tree by scientists.
This tree was discovered by two climbers, and to accurately measure its height, a team of scientists from Humboldt State University led by Professor Steve Sillett employed various complex methods and climbing techniques. They had to climb to its highest point and drop a very long measuring tape to measure its height.
