An ancient Scythian warrior has been discovered in Russia, found within an intricately constructed oak burial mound, surrounded by unique burial offerings made of gold, bone, ceramics, and metal.
According to Heritage Daily, scientists from the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) have uncovered a unique ancient burial site named Devitsa V, which consists of 19 burial mounds.
Among these, burial mound number 7 has astonished researchers with its construction, the individual resting inside, and the elaborate offerings prepared for him with great respect.

The individual in the tomb has been identified as a Scythian warrior, a tribe steeped in legendary history in Russia, known for their formidable warriors, both men and women. The warrior in mound number 7 was a man approximately 40-49 years old, who died around the 4th century BC. He was laid to rest in a massive tomb constructed with 17 oak pillars.
Inside the tomb lies a treasure trove: many small gold plates of unknown purpose; an exquisite iron dagger; a horse rib crafted into an unidentified object; an arrow and three spearheads; horse harness; six bronze plates depicting wolves; a jawbone cut from a young bear; a cast cup; and several black-glazed pottery vessels…
The most remarkable discovery is a silver decorative strip of astonishing intricacy, measuring 34.7 cm x 7.5 cm, depicting various deities including the androgynous goddess Artimpassa, a symbol of war, fertility, power, and vegetation. The reverse side of the object is adorned with wild creatures in distinctive poses, linked with two circular locks depicting a crowned figure and numerous other finely detailed decorative images.

This discovery, aside from its unparalleled value due to its intricacy, historical significance, and dating, also aids scientists in gaining a deeper understanding of the history of the legendary Scythians.
