A man was out herding ducks and, whether by intention or accident, allowed his flock to wander into another man’s rice field.
From a distance, the rice farmer rushed over with a hoe to shoo the ducks away. The duck herder ran up to him:
– Wait, wait! Please understand, these ducks are craving rice!
The rice farmer, growing impatient, replied:
– What ducks don’t crave rice? Why didn’t you ask them if they want shrimp too? I could go to the market and buy some to cook and serve to your ducks!
