According to information from VTC News, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Director of the Lang Son Meteorological and Hydrological Station, reported that on the morning of January 24th, the measured temperature at Mount Mau Son was -2.9 degrees Celsius, and the frost phenomenon continued to persist at the summit, with no signs of melting.

Many tourists from Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong, upon hearing news of frost and snow at Mount Mau Son, have flocked to enjoy this rare scenery.
I had never seen frost and snow before, so on the night of January 22nd, I learned through social media that thick frost had appeared at the summit of Mount Mau Son. That night, I invited two friends to join me on a trip to Lang Son. Upon arrival, I was thrilled to experience the bone-chilling cold of the frost, shared Thái Hoàng Minh from Hanoi.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thư, from Tam Thanh Ward, Lang Son City (Lang Son), shared: “Even though I live in Lang Son City, the frost and snow phenomenon is still rare and only occasionally occurs, so my family and I came here to enjoy this scenery that feels like it’s from the West.”

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on January 24th, the Northern region continued to endure severe cold, with the lowest temperature in Mau Son (Lang Son) at -2.9 degrees Celsius. This widespread cold snap may last until around January 28th, with the possibility of snow and frost in the mountainous areas.
