This is a monthly card game where players will compete directly with the Half Moon to test their knowledge of the lunar cycle.
In this game, players must connect phases of the lunar cycle to score points. By defeating the moon, you will earn bonus points.
The game Rise of the Half Moon consists of 3 rounds. In each round, players need to flip and connect cards to score points before the Half Moon does.
There are three ways to connect the cards: phase pairs, full moon pairs, and lunar cycles. For phase pairs, you will score 1 point. Successfully connecting full moon pairs grants you 2 points.
Notably, with the lunar cycle, you can connect 3 or more cards and earn points corresponding to the number of successfully connected cards.
Using the lunar cycle connection method, you will score higher points and achieve victory more easily.
In addition to the points scored during the game, at the end of the round, players will receive 1 point for each card they have captured.
By completing all 3 rounds, you will achieve victory and get closer to the moon.

Google Doodle also provides interesting information about the Half Moon (waning moon). Specifically, the waning moon is scientifically referred to as the waning crescent.
People often call the waning crescent moon because it appears like half of the moon is present. However, in reality, only a quarter of the moon is illuminated.
After the first waning crescent, the moon enters the waning phase and becomes increasingly bright until the next full moon. After the last waning crescent, the moon then enters the waning phase, gradually darkening until it becomes a new moon.
Google Doodle also provides a lunar calendar to help you easily track the lunar cycle.
