This morning (October 1), a cold front began to affect the Northeast region of Vietnam. In the afternoon and evening, it will also impact the Northwest and North Central regions.
Starting tomorrow, the cold front will reach the Central Central region, causing a gradual drop in temperatures. Heavy rain is expected to continue this morning in the northern areas and in Thanh Hóa – Nghệ An, while heavy rainfall will occur from Hà Tĩnh to Thừa Thiên Huế starting this afternoon.
Northeast Region: This morning, the sky is mostly cloudy with rain in the morning, moderate rain, and scattered thunderstorms. Some areas may experience heavy rain, which will decrease from midday. Northeastern winds are at level 2-3, while coastal areas may experience winds of level 4-5. From tonight, temperatures will drop significantly, leading to cold weather, especially in mountainous regions. Daytime temperatures will range from 26-29 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 29 degrees. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 20-23 degrees, and in mountainous areas, it may be below 19 degrees.

Hà Nội: Today, the city is mostly cloudy with scattered morning showers and thunderstorms. Some areas may experience heavy rain. From midday, the rain will lessen, and the wind will shift to the northeast at levels 2-3. Tonight, the weather will turn cold, with daytime temperatures ranging from 27-29 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures dropping to 21-23 degrees.
Forecast for the next 2-3 days shows that the Northeast region will have little rain, with cold temperatures at night and in the morning, and chilly weather in mountainous areas.
Thanh Hóa – Nghệ An: Today, the weather is mostly cloudy, with morning rain, moderate showers, and scattered thunderstorms. Some areas may experience very heavy rain. Later in the day, there will be light rain and thunderstorms in a few places, with increasing winds from the north to northwest at levels 2-3. Daytime temperatures will range from 28-30 degrees Celsius, dropping to 22-24 degrees at night.
In the next 2-3 days, Thanh Hóa – Nghệ An will experience cooler weather with minimum temperatures of 20-23 degrees.
From Hà Tĩnh to Thừa Thiên Huế: Morning rain will be minimal, but in the afternoon, moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms are expected, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. Thunderstorms may bring strong winds, lightning, hail, and gusty winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 22-25 degrees, while maximum temperatures will reach 31-33 degrees.
Heavy rain is forecast to continue in Hà Tĩnh to Thừa Thiên Huế tomorrow.
From Đà Nẵng to Bình Thuận: Today will be sunny, with occasional rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Winds will be light. Minimum temperatures will be between 24-27 degrees, with maximum temperatures from 32-35 degrees.
The Central Highlands: Today will be sunny, with occasional rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Winds will be light. Minimum temperatures will be between 20-23 degrees, and maximum temperatures will range from 29-32 degrees, with some areas exceeding 32 degrees.
The Southern Region: Today will be sunny, with occasional rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Winds will be light. Minimum temperatures will be between 24-27 degrees, and maximum temperatures will range from 32-35 degrees.
In the coming days, the Central Highlands and Southern regions are expected to maintain sunny weather with little rain.
