Transcend Information has just launched a new USB memory card product featuring a built-in VGA digital camera (DSC).
The JetFlash DSC drive is designed to allow users to capture digital photos and connect to a PC for image transfer without the need for USB cables or card readers.
Equipped with a 0.25-inch CMOS image sensor, the JetFlash can store digital photos with a resolution of 640×480, with each image size being approximately 55KB. Once these photos are transferred to a personal computer, users can utilize bundled software to edit and enhance image quality.
In addition, Transcend’s new USB drive is built with a rechargeable lithium battery that can be charged via a USB port on a computer.
The JetFlash is compatible with USB 1.1 and requires no additional driver installation, except for PCs running Windows 98.
Transcend’s JetFlash DSC USB drive offers users two storage options: 128MB and 256MB. The 128MB variant is priced at approximately $46. The product is now available on the market.
