The special twin sisters who can sense each other’s thoughts, feelings, and even tastes.
Identical twins Krista and Tatiana Hogan were born on October 25, 2006, in Vancouver, Canada. From the moment they arrived, the sisters attracted media attention as they are an extremely rare case of craniopagus twins, meaning their heads are fused together.

Krista and Tatiana have a shared skull and interconnected brains. Their brain tissue is so interconnected that they can see through each other’s eyes, feel each other’s emotions, taste what the other eats, and coordinate movements of their hands and legs. Tatiana can control three arms and one leg, while Krista can control three legs and one arm. They can even “read” each other’s thoughts.
The sisters are believed to have been able to read each other’s thoughts until 2015 when Tatiana experienced a severe seizure. After the seizure, their mother noticed changes in their level of connection: “They can still see what the other sees, but the ability to read thoughts sometimes disappears.”
Previously, the twins seemed to silently exchange thoughts at will, as if they could control a communication switch between their brains. However, their shared taste sensation has become even stronger. The sisters have different food preferences, so every meal is a source of many humorous situations as one has to taste the food of the other.
Krista and Tatiana share a special life connection.
From the moment Mrs. Felicia Hogan became pregnant, doctors discovered that she was carrying conjoined twins and that their chances of survival were very low. Despite knowing the difficulties and dangers, Felicia chose to give birth. The twins had only a 20% chance of survival at birth. After their arrival, experts and doctors believed it would be very difficult for the girls to continue living and developing normally. However, a miracle occurred, and the girls have been “coexisting” healthily together until the age of 18.
Krista and Tatiana Hogan have grown up healthy, despite having diabetes and epilepsy. In their daily lives, they require regular blood tests, insulin injections, and medication. The sisters attend a regular school, although they started a little later than their peers.
Currently, the special twin sisters are studying at a high school in Vancouver. Instead of appearing frequently in the media and participating in documentaries like they did when they were younger, Krista and Tatiana now lead a quiet lifestyle and do not share much about their lives.
