The research facility is located within the UFO Interactive Hall, which displays items related to UFOs in the city of Fukushima. This institute specializes in uncovering the mysteries of unidentified flying objects. The director of the institute is Takeharu Mikami, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Occult. In addition to conducting online research, the International UFO Research Center will proceed to analyze and investigate eyewitness accounts.
According to the UFO Interactive Hall UFO and various other sources, in the 1970s, a glowing conical object appeared near Mount Senganmori in Iinomachi district of Fukushima, causing a stir in the community. Following numerous UFO reports, this area has been dubbed the “hometown of UFOs.” In 1992, the UFO Interactive Hall was established with a collection of approximately 3,000 related documents donated by the late UFO researcher Kinichi Arai.
Last year, the U.S. Department of Defense released videos of UFOs recorded by the U.S. Navy. The growing interest of the international community in this topic has prompted the UFO Interactive Hall to open a research facility to bring these mysterious objects to light.
The activities of the research facility include collecting, analyzing, and verifying information about UFOs provided by witnesses from around the world. “Until now, even when UFOs were detected, the information shared was only at a personal level. I hope the research center will serve as a platform for receiving information, leading to new discoveries,” said Director Mikami.
