A scientist told NBC News that it was a meteor burning up as it entered the atmosphere, shining brightly like a fireball. However, some believe this could represent an alien incursion into Earth.
UFO expert Scott C. Waring remarked that this is an alien device camouflaged as a meteor. He also noted that the light emitted from a meteor would not typically be blue.
