UFOs are one of the greatest mysteries on the planet, tied to many sensational claims and conspiracy theories from various countries. Now, NASA has offered a new perspective on this issue.
On September 14, NASA released a highly anticipated report related to UFOs. Part of it aims to overcome the stigma associated with UFOs, stemming from military pilots’ fears of punishment or negative impacts on their careers if they report sightings.
UFOs, or UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), are now referred to by the U.S. government as anomalous phenomena or unidentified flying phenomena.
The crux of this report is that the research team found no evidence indicating that reported UFO sightings were of extraterrestrial origin.
For a long time, many scientists have claimed that UFOs represent visits from aliens to Earth, even suggesting that they might be living among us. Therefore, NASA’s report serves as a pivot, leading us to a new perspective on UFOs.
UFOs are no longer sensationalism
During the press conference on September 14, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson noted that the agency has scientific programs aimed at searching for signs of life on Mars and biological evidence in the atmospheres of exoplanets.
Bill Nelson asserted: “We want to shift the conversation about UAPs from sensationalism to science.”
NASA joins the race to search for extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
Nelson was likely alluding to certain claims regarding UAPs or UFOs, suggesting that they may involve alien technologies on Earth.
At a U.S. congressional hearing in July, former Pentagon intelligence officer David Grusch testified that the U.S. government had concealed evidence of downed UAPs and biological samples of extraterrestrial origin.
However, Sean Kirkpatrick, Director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), responsible for investigating UAPs, dismissed these claims.
In the same week that NASA’s report was released, Mexican lawmakers and journalist Jaime Maussan unveiled two tiny, 1,000-year-old bodies that he claimed were the remains of “non-human” beings.
1,000-year-old fossils believed to be of extraterrestrial origin.
Immediately, this faced backlash from scientists, who labeled the claims as fraudulent and hypothesized that these could be mummies stolen from burial sites in Peru.
The new NASA research team is clarifying whether some UAPs are of extraterrestrial origin. The chairman of the research team, astronomer David Spergel, stated: “We found no evidence that UAPs are of extraterrestrial origin.”
Among the more than 800 unclassified UFO sightings collected by the U.S. Department of Defense’s AARO and reported in May, only a few could not be immediately identified as natural phenomena or man-made objects.
Many recent sightings may be attributed to weather balloons and atmospheric disturbances. Historically, most UFOs have been identified as astronomical objects such as meteors or comets.
Some sightings may arise from monitoring activities by foreign powers, which is why the U.S. military considers this a national security issue.
The report also offers recommendations from NASA on how to conduct investigations related to UFOs or UAPs.
Most of the UAP data reviewed by the research team comes from the sightings reported by U.S. military pilots. Analyzing this data is often hampered by poor sensor calibration, a lack of many measurements, and basic data.
According to scientists, ideal measurements for analyzing and identifying UFOs would include optical imaging data, infrared imaging, and radar, but very few reports contain all of these requirements.
NASA suggests collecting data from commercial pilots who observe UFOs to report on this phenomenon.
NASA scientists emphasize the importance of the report in alleviating the stigma that may prevent U.S. military and commercial pilots from feeling free to report UFO sightings, which has originated from decades of conspiracy theories associated with UFOs.
NASA recommends gathering data from commercial pilots who see UFOs alongside classified cases not included in government reports to gain a better understanding of these anomalous phenomena. Due to the lack of security clearance among the research team members, they can only review a limited number of unclassified military cases.
Currently, under U.S. law, there is no mechanism for pilots to report UAPs anonymously nationwide. NASA also announced the appointment of a new UAP research director to oversee data collection and develop databases to evaluate sightings of UAPs.
Searching for a needle in a haystack
The examination of UFOs will now be assessed by the U.S. according to scientific standards. Government officials describe this analysis process as akin to searching for a needle in a haystack.
They believe we need a consistent and rigorous method to describe UFO sightings, as a way to detect something truly anomalous.
David Spergel stated that the research team’s goal is to describe characteristics, analyze mundane phenomena, and eliminate them to find the “needle” (referring to UFOs) or uncover events related to anomalous phenomena. Artificial intelligence could assist researchers in sifting through vast datasets to identify rare anomalous phenomena.
The NASA research team emphasizes the importance of transparency, as UFOs have long been associated with conspiracy theories and government cover-ups from many countries.
Similarly, much of the discussion during the UAP congressional hearing in July focused on the need for transparency. All scientific data collected by NASA is publicly available across various websites, and officials indicated their intention to do the same with unclassified UAP-related data.
UFOs have long been associated with conspiracy theories and government cover-ups from many countries.
Some UFOs have been classified, indicating they are weather balloons, reconnaissance aircraft from other nations, or some top-secret technology.
Administrator Nelson expressed the view that there could be trillions of life forms beyond Earth. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that intelligent life exists out there.
However, the report states that when it comes to UAPs, extraterrestrial life will be the last hypothesis considered. Claims related to this issue require extraordinary evidence. And so far, that evidence has yet to materialize.
UFOs – a term used by the government to cover up technology?
According to the UAP Disclosure Bill, presented to President Biden later this year, any UFO technology discovered will be revealed to the public through “controlled disclosure campaigns.”
This proposed bill aims to establish a Committee for the Assessment of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, consisting of nine independent members appointed by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
The Council’s mission is to collect and engage in the controlled disclosure of records related to “unidentified aerial phenomena, untraceable technologies, or non-human intelligence” held by the U.S. government.
This proposal also includes a provision allowing the government to assert ownership over any “untraceable technologies” and “biological evidence of non-human intelligence” currently under private control.
This relates to several aerospace contractors believed to have concealed non-human technologies hidden within special access programs.
Back in July, during a congressional hearing, David Grusch, who is tasked with providing weekly intelligence updates to the U.S. President, shared his findings with the global public regarding his investigation into the issues assigned to him by Congress.
After four years of researching this topic and interviewing 40 senior military officials, Grusch concluded that a UFO recovery program has been in existence for a long time, utilizing reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology.
The Sunday World reported that the phrase “non-human intelligence” may have been mentioned 22 times in the proposed 2024 National Defense Authorization Act submitted to the U.S. President.
Along with Grusch’s sworn testimony before Congress, two fighter pilots, David Fravor and Ryan Graves, participated in the hearings.
Both men provided detailed descriptions of high-speed interactions with UFOs/UAPs, with Graves noting: “The government knows far more about UAPs than it publicly shares, and excessive classification will keep important information hidden. The lack of transparency surrounding UAPs is concerning.”
UFO does not resemble a regular aircraft.
“The UAPs we encounter and track on multiple sensors have operated in ways beyond our understanding and technology. UAPs can accelerate at speeds up to Mach 1 (1,235 km/h), maintain position against storm winds, and endure longer than our fighter aircraft, particularly being able to operate continuously throughout the day.”
According to descriptions, the UFOs have no visible lifting mechanisms, control surfaces, or propulsion systems, and do not resemble any conventional aircraft with wings or engines.
“A controlled disclosure operation” is believed to be in progress over several years.
In the past, humanity has witnessed UFOs numerous times. Millions have reported seeing UFOs in the skies over China. A pilot on a flight in France observed a massive sphere flying at high speed, despite lacking an engine…
In recent years, U.S. military and commercial pilots have frequently encountered these anomalous phenomena. To date, most of them remain a mystery, with objects that do not resemble anything manufactured by humans.
What stands out is that the testimonies from witnesses who have observed and described these UFOs are remarkably similar, and the stories surrounding UFOs always spark considerable debate and interest within the scientific community.
Furthermore, the U.S. government has offered a new perspective on UFOs, examining them from a scientific standpoint rather than merely as extraterrestrial hypotheses.
