A restaurant in China was left astonished when a shark gave birth to three pups right in its display aquarium.

Mr. Zhu, the restaurant manager, revealed that the shark was initially purchased for decorative purposes and had been displayed at the front of the restaurant for about two weeks.

According to Mr. Zhu, they had no intention of harming the shark, and now that it has given birth, they plan to continue caring for the mother shark and her newborns.

To prevent the mother shark from mistaking her pups for prey, the restaurant sought advice from experts and separated the newborns for feeding.
