Local residents were terrified and screamed after witnessing the sudden eruption of a volcano in San José de Mulatos, Colombia.
A clip recorded by a witness shows the moment the volcano began spewing fire, with thick ash rising into the sky.
Subsequently, a massive cloud of smoke was seen billowing from the volcano’s summit, resembling a scene from an apocalyptic movie.
This dramatic moment took place in Turbo, Antioquia, Colombia, where volcanic activity is quite rare.

So far, there have been no reports of serious injuries, but some locals are said to have fainted after the volcano’s violent eruption. Several individuals have been treated for smoke inhalation and severe coughing.
Approximately 109 families have been affected by the eruption, with many fleeing their homes to ensure their safety.
Alejandro Abuchar, the local mayor, stated: “There are some children experiencing health issues due to smoke inhalation; these minors have been transferred to San Pedro Hospital, and we are taking action to care for the entire community.”
Experts from the Geological and Risk Management Agency are conducting assessments in the area.
The volcano erupted around 5 PM local time on November 10.
