During a playful moment, a man was unexpectedly bitten on the face by a python, shocking onlookers.
Images captured show an Indonesian man holding a python while about a dozen people stood around him.
As he was about to kiss the python on the head, the man was bitten on the face.
Most people appeared amused as they watched the man wrap the python around his wrist and raise it towards them to scare them.
However, while preparing to kiss the python’s head, the man was suddenly attacked by the reptile, which bit him directly on the face. Several people immediately rushed to help the victim remove the python. It took a while for them to subdue the animal.
Although pythons rarely attack humans, they can bite and constrict their handlers if they feel threatened, frightened, or mistake a person’s limbs for food.
Despite lacking venom, the bite from large pythons can be quite serious.
