“Web Translator” is an online translation tool capable of “live” translation between the 10 most popular languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, helping you browse the web at a “global” level.
To translate a piece of text, first select the input and output languages from the two boxes located at the top right corner of the interface. Next, choose the text translation mode by clicking the Notepad icon to the left of the language selection box. Click “Open” to open the text you want to translate, then copy the text to be translated and paste it into the text interface above. Finally, click the Translate button to start the translation process. The translated text will automatically appear in the text interface below.
Please note that Web Translator can only open documents formatted in TXT or RTF.
The most unique feature of Web Translator is its ability to translate the entire content of a website into another language, particularly effective for large web structures like Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc., which support multiple languages within the same content. To use this feature, you need to switch from text translation mode to website translation mode by clicking the Internet Explorer icon to the left of the language selection box.
