The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced that on April 26, the agency provided $50,000 worth of protective equipment for healthcare workers, laboratory staff, and those involved in avian influenza prevention efforts in Vietnam.
The protective equipment includes goggles, masks, gloves, coveralls, and disinfecting supplies.
This shipment of equipment is part of a program to supply personal protective equipment to five Southeast Asian countries by the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance within USAID.
